Quantum theory of the far-off-resonance continuous-wave Raman laser: Heisenberg-Langevin approach
We present the quantum theory of the far-off-resonance continuous-wave Raman laser using the HeisenbergLangevin approach. We show that the simplified quantum Langevin equations for this system are mathematically identical to those of the nondegenerate optical parametric oscillator in the time domain with the following associations: pump ↔ pump, Stokes ↔ signal, and Raman coherence ↔ idler. We d...
متن کاملGeneration of multipartite continuous-variable entanglement via atomic spin wave: Heisenberg-Langevin approach.
We conduct theoretical studies on the effects of various parameters on generation of multipartite continuous-variable entanglement via atomic spin wave induced by the strong coupling and probe fields in the Λ-type electromagnetically induced transparency configuration in a realistic atomic ensemble by using the Heisenberg-Langevin formalism. It is shown that the increase of the atomic density a...
متن کامل1.4 µm continuous-wave diamond Raman laser.
The longest wavelength (~1.4 µm) emitted by a diamond Raman laser pumped by a semiconductor disk laser (SDL) is reported. The output power of the intracavity-pumped Raman laser reached a maximum of 2.3 W with an optical conversion efficiency of 3.4% with respect to the absorbed diode pump power. Narrow Stokes emission (FWHM <0.1 nm) was attained using etalons to limit the fundamental spectrum t...
متن کاملStimulated Raman scattering imaging by continuous-wave laser excitation.
We demonstrate a low-cost-stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscope using continuous-wave (cw) lasers as excitation sources. A dual modulation scheme is used to remove the electronic background. The cw-SRS imaging of lipids in fatty liver is demonstrated by excitation of C─H stretch vibration.
متن کاملRenormaliztion-Group Approach to Spin-Wave Theory of Quantum Heisenberg Ferromagnet
The renormalization-group method is used to analyze the low-temperature behaviour of a two-dimentional, spin-s quantum Heisenberg ferromagnet. A set of recursion equations is derived in an one-loop approximation. The lowtemperature asymptotics of the correlation length and the uniform susceptibility are obtained. For small spins (s = 1/2, 1) the results are essentialy different from those in th...
